MD/CEO - BASIL UTOMI
Basil Utomi, the founder of Biuc Industrial Services Ltd, has over 20 years’ of experience in the Maritime, Financial and Oil & Gas industry, particularly Vessel management and operations. He headed a prominent marine conglomerate focusing on Marine logistics, Dredging, Procurement, Construction and other industrial services. With over 20 years of experience in the Maritime Industry, he brings seasoned leadership to his role. Basil Utomi is a man of integrity with a strong leadership skill, strategic planning expertise, excellent communication and result-driven abilities.
Basil began his career at Citizens Bank plc as a Bulk Teller before transitioning to Kemp and Enser Ltd, where he excelled as a Project Manager. His journey continued at Uniglobe Industrial Services Ltd, where he held pivotal roles such as Marine Superintendent and Operations Manager. His responsibilities included overseeing security vessels and managing operations for IOC’s platforms, PSVs, and tankers in Nigerian water ways. Recognized for his exceptional leadership, he was promoted to Director of Operations, a testament to his expertise in delivering safe, reliable, and efficient marine operations
Basil holds a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration, a Post Graduate Degree (PGD) in Public Sector Financial Management, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Public Sector Financial Management. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Finance and Administration. He holds professional certifications in Offshore Fire Control (OISL), STCW95 Charkins Maritime Safety, and Personal Protection and Social Responsibility Training (SPDC).
His determination to make a difference in the maritime, Oil and Gas industry, attention to details and innovation have helped in the realization of his dream of establishing Biuc Industrial Services Ltd, as a one- stop Marine organization that will stand out in quality service delivery and nurture her to greatness.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - CORDEL UTOMI
Mrs. Cordel Utomi is the Executive Director of Biuc Industrial Services Ltd. She has over 15 years experience in oil and gas and finance industry, particularly in data analysis and processing. She has also worked with PPMC and Hallmark Bank PLC where she rose to fame before quitting to establish her own company.
At various times in the past, she had held management positions within the banking industry as well as the chief Executive Director of a reputable Information Technology company she established.
Cordel is a graduate of computer science from Rivers State Polytechnic Bori, specializing in data analysis and processing. She has other Data Analytic Certifications obtained from the International Center for Data Analysis London. She is currently pursuing an MBA in Business Administration and Management at Enugu State University of Science and Technology Business School.
Cordel has also been involved in numerous humanitarian activities within Nigeria and beyond.
Her commitment and leadership stand her out and have helped in the birth of Biuc Industrial Services Ltd.
GENERAL MANAGER - Nkoli Okeke
Nkoli Okeke holds a HND in Accounting from Federal Polytechnic Oko, Bsc in Business Administration and Management from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management and Administration from Federal University of Science and Technology, Owerri, Msc in Human Resources Management, Prowess University, Delaware, USA and currently pushing an MBA in business Management from Enugu State University of Science and Technology.
She is a well-seasoned professional with over 18 years of cognate work experience in Human Resources Management, Business Administration and Accounting. Her experience span across FMCG, Banking, Marine, Oil and Gas industries. She has also worked with companies like Elshcon Nigeria Ltd, Firebrand Industries Ltd, Cenouxs Logistics Ltd and brings with her a wealth of experience in Human Resources Management, Business Management and Administration.
She is also poised with a view to achieving maximum customer satisfaction, an astute strategic business Partner determined to make a difference in the company’s growth and within a short turnaround time while maintaining a competent and continually motivated workforce.” She is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, a student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and other professional international bodies. She has been vital in strategic management, planning and execution. Her attention to detail and astuteness are some of her strong selling points.
PROJECT CONSULTANT ENGR. RALPHAEL ILORAH
Engr. Ralphael is a seasoned Engineer with over 27 years’ experience in various engineering field, his experience span across Project Management, Pipeline construction works and installation (Onshore/Offshore), Associated fabrication works and installation of offshore structures, Heavy lift and Load out Engineering, Project/Field Engineering, Facilities Engineering works.
I have hands-on experience in structural/Civil construction design works related to shore protection and loading bay design and constructions works.
I construct barges of varying capacities and (Inland) Tug boats. Load out engineering are also part of my accomplished work experiences. I am quite familiar with international engineering designs, applicable international codes/standards and verification studies, material specifications and applicable industrial codes and standards in relation to varying work scopes, a good reporting and analytical skill. I have played an active role in an EPIC projects from design stage to asset handover stage. Sound and high proficiency in the project planning. Good inter-human relationship and negotiation skill with respect, good skill in project execution and management of Sub-contractor, preparation and review of work procedures, cost estimation / MTO preparation, RFQ and tender preparations. I am a certified member of the following Engineering bodies, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) Registered Engineer (R26435), Member Nigeria Society of Chemical Engineers (MNSChE) Membership No. M1267 and Member Nigeria Society of Engineers (Membership No. 27607).
QHSE CONSULTANT ENGR. ELO IRUESIRI
Engr. Iruesiri have a good hands-on experience on Quality, health, Safety and environment. his professional certification cut across different facet of Engineering, QAQC and HSE. Engr. Elo, have over 10 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas Industry which span across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning of onshore and offshore pipelines including sectional replacement of damaged pipelines. Demonstrate strong QA/QC & HSE Management in pipeline construction, Fabrication and Marine Vessels operations and Maintenance.
I have successfully led several organizations to NIS ISO 9001:20… QMS Certification.
DESIGNATED PERSON ASHORE - Engineer Godfrey Favor
Godfrey Favour is an experienced professional with diverse educational background and extensive experience in the maritime industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from HNAUB (Houdegbe North America University) and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marine Engineering from the Regional Maritime University in Accra, Ghana. He has combined technical expertise with specialized maritime knowledge.
Throughout his career, Favour has pursued numerous professional certifications and licenses, demonstrating his commitment to continuous learning and development. Notable certifications include Class III Engine unlimited, High Voltage System, Proficiency in Engine Room Resource Management and other professional certifications. He is actively pursuing further certifications to enhance his skill set and stay abreast of industry advancements.
Favour’s professional journey has seen him work with reputable companies operating vessels of varying tonnages, including World Carriers, Matrix Energy, West African Ventures, and Tethys Plantgeria. His hands-on experience has provided him with in-depth knowledge of marine ethics, ISO standards, IMO (International Maritime Organization) regulations, and NIMASA (Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency) standards.
With a strong foundation in both technical engineering and maritime operations, he brings a unique perspective to his roles, ensuring the seamless integration of technology and best industry practices in maritime management. His dedication to excellence, coupled with his broad skill set and deep industry knowledge, positions him as a valuable asset in the maritime sector.
Deputy Project Manager – ENGR. NDUBUISHI, ASHIBUDIKE
Engr. Ndubuishi is a certified Engineer, holds a B.Eng. Degree in Computer Engineering from Enugu State University of Science &Technology- Enugu. He has over 15 years’ experience in flowlines construction, laying of swamp flowlines/trunks, Delivery lines construction and Mechanical repairs, shop fabrication of standard offshore well Platforms and Load out platforms. He has participated in several Pipeline construction and fabrication jobs with different IOCs. His wealth of experience in the industry is top notch. He is presently the Deputy Project Manager of BISL.
HSE SUPERVISOR – AKPAN, OKPONGETTE
Okpongette Friday Akpan holds B.Sc. In Environmental Science from the University of Calabar with Second class honor, Upper division. He is a certified Health safety and Environment professional with certificates from Institute of safety professionals of Nigeria (ISPON level 3), Occupational Safety and health Academy (OSHA Manager level) and National Examination board in occupational safety and health (NEBOSH).
He also holds training certificates in ISPS code, Nigeria content driver/focal person, Work permit holder training, Marine vessel management training and ISM code Internal auditor trainings.
He has over 15 years of work experience ranging from HSE assistant up to Vessel designated person ashore (DPA), Company security manager (CSO), Company local content manager, Company safety management system internal auditor, Vessel prehire inspector, Vessel pre and post class classification inspector, Company/vessel compliance manager and QHSSE manager. The experience is with Marine firms/vessel management companies, Oil and gas services companies, and the IOCs construction integrity projects and marine vessel services.
Mr Akpan is driven by a career objective of developing and maintaining a professional career that ensures world class solution to Occupational health and safety for zero incident oil and gas and Marine operations.
